Comprised of the towns of Dauis and Pangloa, the island is currently home to world-class resorts and tourist facilities. First stop is the Shrine of Our Lady of the Assumption in Dauis, a pilgimmage site, with a miraculous well found near its altar. The church complex is a heritage treasure with stone underworld of stalagmites with a subterranean pool of cool fresh water and the Bohol Bee Farm, a haven for organic food. In the town of Panglao, its church and watchtower withstood for centuries. The beaches along Alona in Tawala, Bolod, Libaong and Doljo are popular destinations for great holiday under the sun with sea and sand.
